NotHole Privacy Policy
Effective date: 19 July 2026
1. About this policy
NotHole is operated by CellFit (“CellFit”, “NotHole”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal information when you use the NotHole mobile application, website and related services.
NotHole is a road-awareness service that allows users to save, receive alerts about, document and share the locations of potholes, flooding, low bridges, slippery roads and other potential road hazards.
By using NotHole, you acknowledge that location information is required for location-dependent features. You can control location access through your device settings, although disabling it may prevent alerts and other core features from working correctly.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, NotHole may collect the following information.
Account information
- Your email address;
- Your name or display name, if provided;
- A unique account or authentication identifier;
- Your sign-in provider, such as Google or Apple; and
- Your account settings and preferences.
Location information
- Your device’s precise or approximate location;
- Coordinates associated with hazards and saved locations;
- The date and time a location or hazard is created or updated;
- Location information required to determine whether an alert is relevant; and
- Location permission and alert preferences.
NotHole accesses location information only in accordance with the permissions available through your device. Your device may allow you to grant approximate or precise location access and to change or withdraw that permission at any time.
When you start NotHole’s active road-alerting feature and grant the required permission, NotHole may access your precise location while the app is visible and while it continues operating in the background or is minimised. This enables NotHole to determine when you are approaching saved or shared hazard locations.
You can stop the active alerting feature or withdraw location permission through NotHole or your device settings.
Hazard and incident information
- Hazard type and description;
- Hazard coordinates and associated address information;
- Dates, times, notes and status information;
- Photographs or other supporting material you choose to provide;
- Incident records created within the app; and
- Information you choose to share with a NotHole Team.
Do not include unnecessary personal, confidential or sensitive information in a hazard report, photograph, incident record or note.
Team information
- Team names and identifiers;
- Team membership and invitation information;
- Content shared with team members; and
- Your role and permissions within a team.
Device and technical information
- Device type, operating system and app version;
- Notification identifiers or push tokens;
- Diagnostic, error and security information; and
- Basic service logs used to operate, secure and troubleshoot NotHole.
Support communications
If you contact us, we may collect your email address and the contents of your enquiry, including any information or attachments you choose to provide.
3. How we collect information
We may collect information:
- Directly from you when you create or manage an account;
- When you save, report, document or share a hazard or incident;
- When you create, join or participate in a NotHole Team;
- From your device when you grant location, camera, photo or notification permission;
- From authentication providers when you sign in using their services; and
- Automatically through ordinary service, security and diagnostic logs.
4. Why we use information
We may use personal information to:
- Create, authenticate and maintain your NotHole account;
- Save hazards and other locations you ask us to store;
- Determine when a saved or shared hazard may be relevant to you;
- Provide location-based and push-notification alerts;
- Enable NotHole Teams, invitations and sharing;
- Store incident documentation at your request;
- Respond to support enquiries and deletion requests;
- Maintain, secure and improve the service;
- Investigate misuse, faults and security incidents;
- Comply with applicable laws and lawful requests; and
- Enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use precise location information for third-party advertising.
5. Location alerts
Location-based alerts depend on device permissions, location accuracy, network availability, saved hazard information and the continued operation of NotHole and third-party services.
Hazard reports may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, duplicated or out of date. The absence of a NotHole alert does not mean a road is safe or free from hazards.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We may disclose information:
- To members of a NotHole Team when you choose to share information with that team;
- To service providers that supply authentication, hosting, database, mapping, notification, security, support or technical services;
- When you direct or authorise us to disclose information;
- Where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, misuse or a security incident;
- Where required or authorised by law; or
- As part of a business sale, transfer or restructure, subject to appropriate privacy safeguards.
Information you share with a team may be visible to other team members. You should only join teams you trust and only share information that is appropriate for those members to receive.
7. Service providers
NotHole may use third-party providers to deliver parts of the service, including:
- Supabase for authentication, database and storage services;
- Google Sign-In for authentication, where selected;
- Sign in with Apple for authentication, where selected;
- Apple and Google for app distribution and push-notification services; and
- Mapping and location providers used by your device or the app.
These providers may process information under their own privacy terms. Their infrastructure may be located in Australia or overseas.
8. Overseas processing
Some service providers may process or store information outside Australia. The countries involved can vary depending on the provider’s infrastructure and service configuration.
Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure overseas processing is handled consistently with applicable Australian privacy requirements.
9. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal information against loss, misuse, interference and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
However, no application, transmission method or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and sign-in account.
10. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably required to provide NotHole, meet the purposes described in this policy, resolve disputes, maintain security, enforce agreements and comply with legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary according to the type of information. Some de-identified or aggregated information may be retained where it can no longer reasonably identify an individual.
11. Access and correction
You may request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
To make a request, email support@cellfit.com.au . We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
12. Account and data deletion
You may request deletion of your NotHole account and associated personal information. Instructions are provided in the “Delete Your Account and Data” section on this page.
We may retain limited information where required by law, necessary to establish or defend legal claims, or required for fraud prevention and service security. Where information cannot be deleted immediately, we will explain the reason where required.
13. Children’s privacy
NotHole is not directed to children under 16. A person under 16 should not create an account or submit personal information without the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
14. Privacy enquiries and complaints
For a privacy enquiry or complaint, email:
Please describe your concern and provide enough information for us to investigate it. We will acknowledge and respond within a reasonable period.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be entitled to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when NotHole, our information practices or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.

Information shared with a team may be accessed by other team members. Do not share information that those members should not receive.

9. Incident documentation
Incident-recording features are provided for general organisational purposes. We do not guarantee that an incident record will satisfy the evidentiary, reporting, insurance or regulatory requirements applying to a particular matter.
You are responsible for preserving any information required for an insurance claim, legal proceeding, workplace report or official investigation.
10. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Use NotHole unlawfully or in a way that endangers another person;

We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
12. Service availability and changes
We may modify, update, suspend or discontinue all or part of NotHole. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
Alerts may be affected by internet access, GPS accuracy, device settings, battery restrictions, notification permissions, outages and other factors outside our control.
13. Intellectual property
NotHole, CellFit, the software, branding, design and content supplied by us are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These terms do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property to you.

You may stop using NotHole and request account deletion at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address a serious breach of these terms, unlawful conduct, fraud, misuse or a threat to users, NotHole or its systems.
